boulder station las vegasNext time you travel to Las Vegas, why not take a trip off the beaten track to the wonderful Boulder Station. Located in east Vegas, in what is referred to as the “Boulder Strip”, this fantastic resort truly is one of a kind.

Boulder Station is just 7 miles from McCarran International Airport, but it might as well be a million miles away. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time, with the gleaming hardwood floors and austere surroundings of Boulder Station reminiscent of a Victorian train station.

The feeling of antiquity is soon swept away, though, as you mix with the energetic visitors to Boulder Station. It’s impossible not to get caught up in the excitement of the live music on display at the 750-seat Railhead theater, or by the sounds of jackpots being hit on the more than 2,800 slot and video poker machines on the casino floor.

There is plenty of gaming action on offer besides the slots, with sports wagering available in the 300-seat race and sportsbook. Table games are well represented, and you might also try your luck in the spacious bingo hall or tournament poker room.

All that excitement is sure to make you hungry, and the good news is that fine dining is more than covered at Boulder Station. You can belly on up to The Broiler if you are in the mood for a juicy steak. If something more exotic is what you are after, try out Cabo Mexican Restaurant or the delicious Italian dishes on offer at Pasta Cucina.

Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps, which might mean hunger strikes at the oddest of hours. Never fear, though, as there is always great food available at the Grand Café, open 24 hours and featuring the famous $9.99 prime rib special. It wouldn’t be Vegas if there weren’t a buffet available, so be sure to stop by The Feast Buffet so that you can fill your plate with foods from all over the world. If you are in a rush, you can grab pizza by the slice or pick up a quick snack at the full-loaded food court.

Boulder Station is a resort where families are always welcome. Check out the latest Hollywood Blockbuster at the 11-screen Regal Cinemas, or let the little ones blow off some steam at Kids Quest, where they will have fun whilst under the supervision of trained childcare professionals.

There are plenty of places for the grown-ups to have fun, too, starting off in the Havana Lounge, where colorful cocktails and premium cigars are the order of the day. For a change of pace, try the Kixx bar, home to karaoke on the weekends and flavored margaritas every day. There is also a great selection of cold beers on tap at Brewer’s Bar.

There will be times when all of that fun will catch up with you, and you will need to relax in the newly renovated rooms. The beds in each room are the epitome of comfort, while the décor is both modern and stylish. Entertainment can also be found in your room, courtesy of the plasma TV and wireless Internet access. Other amenities found in the hotel include a fitness room, an outdoor pool, and a gift shop that carries a wide selection of goodies.

The location of Boulder Station is perfect for those coming into town with NASCAR on their mind, as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is just a short hop, skip, and a jump up the freeway. That same road that the hotel is situated on also provides access to other great locations like Hoover Dam and the Valley of Fire.

You have plenty of resort options when you head to Vegas, but few can match the fun and great atmosphere that is always on tap at Boulder Station.
