palace station las vegasWhile many visitors to Las Vegas love to stay right on the Strip, there are others who are more than happy with a location a few blocks off. That is exactly what the Palace Station delivers, as it sits slightly west of the main drag and next to I-15.

The resort has been a mainstay of that location since it was built in 1976, although it was then called “The Casino.” The 36-acre property changed to its current name in 1991 and has since undergone a number of facelifts, including the addition of a new 21-storey tower. It’s like a little slice of Old Vegas charm combined with modern amenities, and all at an affordable price.

The rooms inside the Palace Station resort are incredibly comfortable and come with amenities such as cable TV and wireless internet access. Other amenities that are included for the convenience and enjoyment of the guests include an outdoor pool, complete with a hot tub, a business center, fully-equipped fitness room, a gift shop, and a complimentary shuttle that stops at the airport and the Strip.

Great food options is another highlight of Palace Station, with a number of different restaurants to choose from. South of the border flavors are delivered at Cabo Mexican restaurant, while a little slice of Italy can be found at Pasta Cucina. If you want to see skilled chefs at work, you need to stop by at the Oyster Bar, where you can watch oysters be shucked and your meal being made.

There are plenty of choices for food on the go, such as the Grand Café, the Food Express Chinese restaurant, and no less than 4 different fast food favorites (Johnny Rocket’s, Starbucks, Subway, and Bonnano’s New York Pizzeria). There is also the Feast Buffet if you are feeling particularly hungry.

You will find live entertainment in the evening at Jack’s pub and sports bar. If you are looking for drinks at great prices, check out The Traxx Bar and Trackside Bar, which is where you will find the world famous 99-cent margarita.

Much of the action that takes place inside Palace Dotation is on the casino floor. Besides that standard slots and table games, you will also find a bingo hall and keno lounge. Sports fans can get in on the action at the race and sports book. A clean environment can be found in the non-smoking poker room, where there are over 1,600 slots, as well as many table games to choose from. One very unique gaming feature at Palace Station is the inclusion of an Asian table games area, where the likes of baccarat and pai gow can be played.

If you are looking to host an event in Vegas, look no further than the 20,000 square foot events space in Palace Station. State-of-the-art technology is available in the space, as is catering and a number of other services.

If you don’t find what you need in the hotel, you will have the choice of a multitude of nearby restaurants, as well as access to the Strip and downtown, both of which are just a short drive away.
